Strength for sport

Athletes will build a foundation of strength for practical application in sport. This includes sport-specific exercises and training designed to maximize strength, explosive power, durability, and improve movement patterns. GSF staff will provide hands-on coaching and instruction in the Olympic lifts, squat & hinge mechanics, plyometrics, and many other dynamic lifts and exercises. Athletes will be pushed to progress at an appropriate rate based on their skill level and aptitude. All athletes will receive sport-specific training plans tailored to their goals and the demands of their sport.

  • Dynamic warm-up + dynamic core strengthening and stability exercises
  • Foot speed, hip mobility, and/ or plyometric & landing mechanics drills
  • Dynamic strength exercises to build muscle and increase explosive power
  • Sport-specific exercises for improved physical output within your sport
